VILLAIN OF THE STORY Embrace The Darkness On New EP "SCAPEGOAT", Share Music Video "Desperate"

Metalcore outfit VILLAIN OF THE STORY have released their new EP SCAPEGOAT, a six-track collection that sees the band channel their modern heavy sound into a compact and intense release. Built around crushing guitar work, forceful rhythms, dynamic vocals and the melodic instincts that have become central to contemporary metalcore, the EP brings together six songs that showcase different sides of the band's approach while maintaining a consistently heavy foundation. The band also shared a music video for "Desperate".

Opening with the title track “Scapegoat,” the EP immediately establishes its confrontational character before moving into “Degeneratio” and “$eduction.” The middle of the record shifts into “Made Of Thorns,” followed by “Drag ‘Em,” before closing with “Desperate.” Across the six tracks, VILLAIN OF THE STORY combine aggression and melody while keeping the arrangements focused and direct.

SCAPEGOAT also demonstrates the band's ability to move between crushing passages and more emotionally charged moments without losing the intensity expected from their sound. The contrast between the individual tracks gives the EP a natural flow, while the title track provides a central point around which the release is built.

With six tracks and no wasted space, SCAPEGOAT delivers VILLAIN OF THE STORY in concentrated form. From “Scapegoat” through “Desperate,” the new EP gives fans another dose of the band's modern metalcore attack while opening another chapter in their evolving catalogue.
