Gippsland-born, Melbourne-based heavy rock outfit OUTLOVED have released “Wrong With Me,” a powerful new single accompanied by an official music video. Built around the band's signature contrast between razor-sharp screams, delicate melodic passages and soaring choruses, the track leans firmly into their heavier side while retaining the emotional intensity that has become central to their sound. “Wrong With Me” arrives as the opening track of their upcoming debut full-length album Is This Letting Go, marking another step forward for a band that has steadily expanded its presence across Australia's heavy music scene.
The song was written by Jaydon Colvin and Ionei Heckenberg, with Heckenberg also handling production, and its lyrics dig into the destructive aftermath of a relationship that has left emotional scars. Feelings of guilt, isolation and being blamed for another person's unhappiness run through the track, while its heavier passages give those emotions an appropriately volatile edge. The result is a song that moves naturally between vulnerability and aggression without losing its melodic pull.
“Wrong With Me” leads a 11-track album that also includes previously released material such as “Die For Nothing,” “ILoveMe,” “Run” featuring Thousand Below and “Overdose.” Across their catalogue, OUTLOVED have developed a sound that sits comfortably between heavy rock, alternative rock, post-hardcore and metalcore, but the new material shows the band increasingly embracing the weight and atmosphere of their heavier influences.
With Is This Letting Go scheduled for release on November 6, 2026 via Out Of Line Music, “Wrong With Me” provides a powerful opening statement for what could become the band's biggest chapter yet. From regional Victoria to sold-out shows and major Australian stages, OUTLOVED have built their momentum one release at a time — and “Wrong With Me” makes it clear they are not backing down now.
