WAKE UP HATE Join Forces With CARRY THE DAY For New Single “SURVIVE”

Modern metal outfit WAKE UP HATE have teamed up with alternative rock and post-hardcore outfit CARRY THE DAY for their collaborative new single, “SURVIVE.” Bringing together two different musical approaches, the track blends the melodic accessibility of alternative rock with the heavier edge of modern metal, creating a dynamic collaboration that moves between emotional intensity and outright aggression. Rather than sticking to one formula, both acts bring their respective identities into the mix, resulting in a song that balances atmosphere, melody, and a bit of crushing heaviness.

“ SURVIVE” leans primarily into alternative rock territory, with strong melodic passages and an emotionally charged delivery driving the song forward. However, WAKE UP HATE make sure things don't stay comfortable for too long, introducing a hard-hitting metalcore breakdown that dramatically shifts the track's intensity. This contrast gives the collaboration its character, allowing the melodic foundation to collide with the kind of crushing heaviness that modern metal fans crave.

The partnership between WAKE UP HATE and CARRY THE DAY brings together the darker modern metal approach of the former with the alternative rock and post-hardcore influences of the latter. The result is a crossover that doesn't rely entirely on brutality, instead building its impact through contrasting sounds, shifting dynamics, and a powerful combination of melodic and heavy elements.

With “SURVIVE,” WAKE UP HATE and CARRY THE DAY deliver a collaboration that bridges two sides of the modern alternative heavy music scene. Fans of melodic alternative rock, post-hardcore, and modern metalcore will find plenty to appreciate here, especially when the track takes its heavier turn. It's a reminder that sometimes the most interesting collaborations happen when different musical worlds collide. Press play on “SURVIVE” and experience the meeting point between melody, emotion, and breakdown-driven aggression.
