German deathcore heavyweights MENTAL CRUELTY bring their uncompromising brutality to Texas with live performances of “Forgotten Kings” and “Pest,” captured at Vibes Event Center in San Antonio on May 4, 2026. Known for combining blackened deathcore intensity with symphonic elements, devastating breakdowns and relentless aggression, the band deliver a performance that showcases the sheer force of their live presence. Both tracks highlight different sides of their destructive sound, pairing crushing riffs and thunderous percussion with an atmosphere of darkness and unrestrained violence. With Lukas Nicolai's commanding vocal performance leading the charge, MENTAL CRUELTY once again demonstrate why they remain one of the most formidable names in modern deathcore.
The performances were recorded during the band's support run alongside SHADOW OF INTENT, joining forces with ANGELMAKER and SYNESTIA for a tour bringing together some of the most exciting names in contemporary extreme metal. The lineup offered fans across the United States an opportunity to experience four distinct approaches to modern heaviness, from blackened deathcore and symphonic brutality to technical aggression and crushing melodic passages.
For MENTAL CRUELTY, the tour provided another opportunity to bring their uncompromising material to American audiences. Their live sound combines intricate instrumental arrangements with devastating breakdowns and an atmosphere that moves between orchestral darkness and outright sonic violence. “Forgotten Kings” and “Pest” capture that balance, showcasing the band's ability to translate their studio material into an equally intense live experience.
Captured in San Antonio, these performances offer fans a front-row glimpse into the band's destructive stage presence and the atmosphere surrounding this impressive touring lineup. From the dark, relentless intensity of “Forgotten Kings” to the sheer aggression of “Pest,” MENTAL CRUELTY leave nothing behind.
