MISS MAY I have officially unleashed their eighth studio album, No Place For Me, marking a new chapter for the Ohio metalcore veterans. Released October 2, 2026 via Solid State Records, the ten-track record arrives alongside a new official music video for “Bury Me Down,” giving the album’s release an immediate visual counterpart. The new full-length follows a nearly two-year writing and recording process during which the band approached the material with a more reflective perspective, turning inward to examine personal struggles, identity, growth and the experiences that have shaped them.
“Bury Me Down” lands as the eighth track on No Place For Me, surrounded by songs that explore different facets of personal conflict and self-reflection. Across the album, MISS MAY I expand their established sound with a stronger emphasis on guitar-driven metal, while retaining the forceful vocal dynamics and emotional intensity that have defined the band's work. The arrival of guitarist Elisha Mullins has also brought a new dimension to the band's songwriting, with his playing contributing to the record's more overtly metallic character.
The album's creation was notably different from the band's previous recording cycles. Instead of completing the record in one concentrated studio period, MISS MAY I worked on it in separate sessions over almost two years, returning to the material with fresh perspective each time. That process allowed the musicians to reconsider songs, rewrite material when necessary and ultimately shape a record that vocalist Levi Benton described as deeply personal and connected to understanding himself through the writing process.
Now available in full, No Place For Me brings together ten tracks spanning aggression, melody, introspection and the band's evolving metallic edge. With “Bury Me Down” arriving alongside its official music video, MISS MAY I have officially opened the next chapter of their career with a record built around looking inward rather than simply looking back.
