Tucson, Arizona heavy hardcore/mathcore outfit LOA LOA have unveiled “BLOOM,” the latest single from their upcoming sophomore EP, Loam. The new track offers another glimpse into the band's increasingly abrasive and unpredictable approach, where the physical intensity of hardcore meets the fractured rhythms and technical instincts of mathcore. “BLOOM” arrives with an official music video, giving LOA LOA another opportunity to introduce the world to the sonic landscape surrounding Loam.
Rather than relying on a straightforward heavy formula, LOA LOA build their sound around tension, rhythmic disruption and sudden shifts in intensity. “BLOOM” reflects that approach through a combination of punishing heaviness and restless musical movement, creating a track that feels deliberately unstable while maintaining the direct aggression at the heart of hardcore.
As the latest preview of Loam, “BLOOM” expands the picture of what LOA LOA are building with their sophomore EP. The title itself suggests growth and transformation, while the band's heavy hardcore/mathcore foundation provides a suitably abrasive environment for that evolution. Coming out of Tucson, the band continue carving their identity through a sound that refuses to remain neatly contained within one genre.
“BLOOM” is another violent burst of momentum from LOA LOA, setting the stage for Loam and whatever comes next. With their sophomore EP on the horizon, the Tucson outfit are turning controlled chaos into something that demands attention.
