ELISION Push Their Sound To The Breaking Point With “CRITICAL MASS” Featuring CHRIS MACKERTICH

Sydney, Australia’s ELISION are back with “CRITICAL MASS,” a thall-infused schizo-rock anthem featuring Chris Mackertich. The track appears on the band’s latest EP, THIS MUCH WILL KILL YOU, which is out now on all major streaming platforms. Combining the crushing weight of thall with a volatile, unpredictable approach to heavy music, ELISION deliver a track built around intensity and contrast, pushing their sound into increasingly unsettling territory.

“CRITICAL MASS” arrives with an official music video that brings the track to life visually. The release puts the spotlight on ELISION’s willingness to embrace a sound that refuses to settle into one predictable shape, shifting between punishing heaviness and a more chaotic, disorienting edge. Chris Mackertich’s guest appearance adds another dimension to the track, making this collaboration a key part of the EP’s latest chapter.

With THIS MUCH WILL KILL YOU now available, “CRITICAL MASS” offers another entry point into ELISION’s uncompromising musical world. The Sydney outfit’s description of their sound as “schizo-rock” reflects an approach that favours instability, sharp contrasts, and a sense of controlled chaos over conventional formulas. Rather than smoothing out the edges, the band lean into the abrasive character that gives the track its impact.
