DIAMONDS TO DUST And RANDY PASQUARELLA Confront Loss With “Inheritor Of Silence”

Poughkeepsie, New York metalcore/deathcore outfit DIAMONDS TO DUST joined forces with RANDY PASQUARELLA of IF I WERE YOU for “Inheritor Of Silence,” a deeply personal track taken from their sixth full-length album, Echoes Of Grace And Strife. Released December 19, 2025, through Manifest Records, the 14-track album brings together the band's heavier modern sound with themes of faith, struggle, grief, redemption and personal experience. “Inheritor Of Silence” appears as the sixth track on the record, with PASQUARELLA contributing to a collaboration that adds another familiar voice from the contemporary core scene.

The song approaches the painful experience of watching someone close battle cancer, placing loss and uncertainty against the band's Christian perspective. Its lyrics move through the emotional weight of grief and the struggle to keep moving forward when everything seems stuck in place, ultimately turning toward faith as a source of strength. The subject matter gives “Inheritor Of Silence” a more reflective character while remaining firmly rooted in the heavy sound DIAMONDS TO DUST have developed throughout their catalogue. 

DIAMONDS TO DUST have never confined themselves to one specific corner of the core spectrum. The band have previously described their approach as embracing deathcore, metalcore, hardcore and post-hardcore, allowing the music to evolve according to what each song demands. That openness is evident throughout Echoes Of Grace And Strife, where crushing heaviness, melodic passages, deep gutturals and clean vocals coexist across a record built around different aspects of faith and human experience. 

“Inheritor Of Silence” ultimately stands as one of the album's more emotionally heavy moments, transforming an experience of illness, loss and uncertainty into a song about enduring through darkness. With RANDY PASQUARELLA joining DIAMONDS TO DUST, the track adds another layer to Echoes Of Grace And Strife and its exploration of pain, faith and the search for hope beyond it. 
