Wollongong, New South Wales metalcore outfit ALIENIST have returned with “Phantom,” their first new music of 2026 and the first release to feature new clean vocalist and guitarist Jacob Churchward. Released through UNFD, the track arrives alongside an official music video and introduces a fresh chapter for the Australian five-piece, who have built their sound around elasticated riffs, soaring melodies, atmospheric textures and crushing breakdowns.
“Phantom” brings together the contrasting elements that have become central to ALIENIST’s sound, moving between melodic passages and heavier sections while giving Churchward’s clean vocals a prominent role alongside the band’s aggressive delivery.
