VIOLENCE SYSTEM Unleash The Darkness With “The Hollowing”

Atlanta, Georgia-based VIOLENCE SYSTEM are bringing their symphonic extremity into full focus with “The Hollowing,” the title track from their new EP. Released August 7, 2026 through Dark Sails Entertainment, the five-track record marks the latest chapter in a catalogue that stretches back to the band’s formation in 2015. “The Hollowing” itself closes the EP with a five-minute assault built around guitars, drums, vocals, and orchestral elements, showcasing the expansive and punishing character that has become central to VIOLENCE SYSTEM’s sound. The accompanying official music video premiered through BVTV Music on September 18th.

The new EP follows 2024’s Chronophobia and features five tracks: “Endmother,” “Pain Made Me God,” “Reflection,” “Kingdom,” and “The Hollowing.” Across the record, VIOLENCE SYSTEM combine melodic death metal precision with symphonic textures and crushing heaviness, creating a sound that moves between cinematic scale and outright aggression. The band’s current lineup includes founding members Joshua Curl on guitar and John Dernar on vocals, alongside Brian Sawyer, Scott Belcher, and Stone McAteer.

“The Hollowing” follows a series of singles that introduced the EP throughout 2026, beginning with “Endmother” before “Reflection,” “Pain Made Me God,” and “Kingdom” progressively revealed more of the record. The completed release runs for just under 24 minutes, with the title track serving as its final statement. VIOLENCE SYSTEM have been building their catalogue since their early releases Blueprint To Desolation and Instinct, followed by their 2019 full-length Gehenna.

With “The Hollowing,” VIOLENCE SYSTEM close their latest chapter in crushing fashion, bringing symphonic scale, melodic precision, and death metal brutality together into one imposing final track. The EP is out now.
