Australian metalcore outfit PYROKINESIS are opening the next chapter of their evolution with “LITHE,” a new track taken from their forthcoming LITHIUM EP, set for release on November 16, 2026. Accompanied by an official visualiser, the track arrives as the Gold Coast band prepares to follow their debut EP Sulphur with a darker and more intense collection of material. The band’s upcoming sophomore release has been described as moving away from some of the melody of Sulphur in favour of increased dissonance and heavier intensity, signalling a further expansion of the sound PYROKINESIS have been developing since their emergence.
PYROKINESIS have built their identity around a collision of modern metalcore, hardcore, and other contemporary heavy influences, with their debut Sulphur also incorporating elements of hip hop. Released earlier in 2026, the EP represented the culmination of several years of development and followed a series of singles dating back to 2019. The band have since indicated that their next material would venture further into extreme territory, with heavier and more dissonant ideas becoming an increasingly important part of their musical direction.
“LITHE” therefore arrives as part of a broader transition for PYROKINESIS rather than simply another standalone release. The forthcoming LITHIUM EP will follow Sulphur and has already become the centrepiece of the band’s upcoming Australian tour, with PYROKINESIS set to perform the new EP alongside selections from their debut. The tour begins in November and includes dates across Australia, reinforcing the momentum surrounding this next phase.
With “LITHE,” PYROKINESIS continue pushing their sound into heavier and darker territory. LITHIUM is on the horizon, and the Gold Coast outfit are ready to turn up the intensity once again.
