PARALLYX Break Through The Noise With “Gimme A Fkn Break”

France-based metalcore outfit PARALLYX have unleashed their latest single, “Gimme A Fkn Break,” accompanied by a new music video. Released on September 21, 2026, the track follows “Lipstick Doll,” which arrived earlier this year, and continues the band's increasingly distinctive approach to modern heavy music. Formed in Paris in 2023 by Moroccan singer Lina Benabdesslem, PARALLYX currently features Adrien Gottis and Mathis Megrier-Tran on guitars, Corentin Miara on bass and Robin Cabaret on drums.

“Gimme A Fkn Break” was born from a night of insomnia and burnout, as Lina found herself overwhelmed by an endless stream of disturbing news on her phone. The song channels the frustration, exhaustion and anger that followed, while also addressing the pressures and frustrations she has experienced as a Moroccan woman living in France. PARALLYX transform that emotional overload into a forceful composition that moves between metal, hardcore and modern metalcore, with English, Arabic and Darija all incorporated into the band's lyrical identity.

At the heart of PARALLYX is Lina's ability to move between different vocal approaches while the band build their sound around crushing riffs, memorable melodies and a deliberately restless production style. That combination has become central to the group's identity, with their music also reflecting Lina's personal journey and her confrontation with cultural stereotypes and social expectations. “Gimme A Fkn Break” continues that approach, turning personal frustration into something immediate, aggressive and unapologetic.

The new single arrives as PARALLYX prepare for an ambitious next chapter, with the band currently working toward a new album expected in early 2027. Further live dates are already scheduled across France and Europe, including an appearance at Mena Rock Festival in Tunis and shows alongside SIDILARSEN and AKIAVEL.
