Japanese boundary-pushing heavyweights PALEDUSK have unleashed “GOLDEN GOAL,” their first new song following the band's latest lineup change, accompanied by a brand-new official music video. Released on September 23, 2026, the track marks the return of bassist John as an official member and introduces another chapter for the Fukuoka-based outfit, whose genre-defying sound has continually crossed the boundaries between heavy music, hardcore, hip-hop and other influences.
“GOLDEN GOAL” was inspired by the band's experience watching football in the United Kingdom, with that atmosphere translated into a song built around a weighty musical foundation and a fast-moving, explosive chorus. The track captures the energy and collective excitement of a stadium, channeling the anticipation and release associated with the sport into PALEDUSK's characteristically unpredictable approach. The single runs for 4:47 and is released through A.S.A.B.
The accompanying music video, directed by Takasuke Kato of THINGS., centers on the themes of victory and liberation. Rather than simply presenting the band performing, the visual concept connects the intensity of sports culture with the exhilaration of music, following people living under the pressure and confinement of city life as football becomes a means of release. Sculptor Kotaro Yamada also created an original trophy specifically for the project, with the piece appearing as a key visual element in both the artwork and video.
