coldrain Unleash “DIGITOLL” Live From BLARE FEST. 2026 Ahead Of New Album

Japanese heavy rock powerhouse coldrain have unveiled a live performance of “DIGITOLL,” captured at BLARE FEST. 2026 in Nagoya, Japan. The track appears on the band's highly anticipated eighth full-length album, OPTIMIZE = OPTDEMISE, which is set for release on September 25, 2026, via Century Media Records. The new live footage offers a glimpse into the band's latest era, bringing one of the album's most intense tracks from the studio to the stage.

“DIGITOLL” is the third track on OPTIMIZE = OPTDEMISE, a 12-song album that expands upon the band's 2025 EP OPTIMIZE. The record is structured in two parts, with the first five songs forming OPTIMIZE before the album moves into the OPTDEMISE section. Across the full release, coldrain examine a world increasingly shaped by optimization and efficiency, questioning what happens when technological and societal progress begins to erode creativity, individuality and the imperfections that define humanity.

The BLARE FEST. performance was recorded during the band's two-day appearance at their Nagoya festival in February 2026. The complete LIVE AT BLARE FEST. 2026 release contains 15 songs spanning approximately 66 minutes, bringing together material from different eras of coldrain's catalog alongside songs from the forthcoming album. “DIGITOLL” appears as the sixth performance on the first day's set, alongside “FREE FALL,” “PARADISE (KILL THE SILENCE),” “ADRENALINE,” “VENA,” and “FIRE IN THE SKY.”

With OPTIMIZE = OPTDEMISE arriving on September 25, “DIGITOLL” provides another live preview of a record that bridges the band's recent material with a new chapter. The album also features collaborations with Bert McCracken of The Used on “POISON” and Kenta Koie of Crossfaith / AFTERVOID on “SAVIOR,” while the full release continues coldrain's exploration of heavy music, massive melodies and the tension between technological progress and human identity.
