CHAINED SAINT Drop "Punk" Video"

Florida teen metal sensation CHAINED SAINT — comprised of Ethan Kahn (guitar), Sebastian De Avila (bass), Cameron Cottrell (drums) and Sean Sterling (vocals) — are gearing up for RISE TO FALL — a new EP the band self-produced alongside Rob Roy at Power Station Studios. The five-song effort further shows off their punk and thrash influences. Additionally, the EP cover art was hand-drawn by Kahn. The EP arrives October 9 via all DSPs.

Today, fresh off their set at Louder Than Life in Louisville, the band has dropped the video for the ferocious, take-no-prisoners, snarling anthem "Punk." It serves as a call out to anyone who is, well, a punk ass poser.

"We all know a punk in our lives," the band states. "That person who talks big, plays fake, and eventually shows you exactly who they are. 'Punk' is about that person, and yeah, this one’s personal. The song is fast, ferocious, and over in 1:52 because that pace matches the anger and intensity behind it. It breaks them down and spits them out like the punk they are."

It's truly the mic drop moment of the band's body of work thus far.

Chained Saint were tipped by New York Times, Revolver, Guitar World, Rock Feed, Loudwire, Metal Injection, Miami New Times, and even Judas Priest legend Rob Halford all praised the band for their chops. SiriusXM's Liquid Metal added the band to their playlist, and their debut single "Animosity" served as the theme song for the WWE 2K24 DLC 4 trailer, while "1000 Tons" was featured in UFC broadcasts in the summer of 2025. They also partnered with Affliction earlier this year for a mini-collection of merch and have appeared at key festivals including Warped Tour, Welcome to Rockville, and Sick New World. Born in a South Florida garage back in the summer of 2022, Chained Saint's debut album, Blindside (out via independent label Patriark Records) combines the raw, organic riffery of the best old-school '80s thrash metal with a dash of modern-day brutality befitting the many challenges confronting the youth of their day. The past and present collide, resulting in modern, metallic maelstrom made by a bunch of kids who play with fire in their veins — and their hands! Blindside, produced by William DuVall of Alice In Chains, focuses that fury into a powerfully concise, eight-song LP. The album was recorded and mixed to analog tape with no computers involved whatsoever in the recording sessions. No AI. No studio trickery. No bullshit. Just real riffs made by real players.
