German metalcore band THE NARRATOR return to SUMMER BREEZE Open Air in their latest vlog, documenting a festival appearance that looks very different from their first outing the previous year. After playing the festival’s smallest Campus Stage in 2025, the band arrived in 2026 with their debut album Phosphor behind them and a significantly bigger platform.
The band’s rapid progression saw them step onto SUMMER BREEZE’s much larger second stage this year, bringing their expanding sound to a far bigger audience. For vocalist Fabian Jochum, the scale of the performance came with a noticeable sense of anticipation. In the vlog, he admits feeling a little nervous ahead of taking the stage, reflecting the significance of the moment for a band still riding the momentum of their debut album.
The footage follows THE NARRATOR throughout their festival experience, capturing the build-up to the performance, the backstage atmosphere and the moments surrounding their appearance. What begins with understandable nerves ultimately turns into a confident and energetic show as the band take full advantage of the opportunity.
By the end of the vlog, the uncertainty has transformed into the satisfaction of a great performance. Just one year after appearing on the festival’s smallest stage, THE NARRATOR had successfully stepped onto one of SUMMER BREEZE’s major stages, marking a significant milestone in their journey.
The SUMMER BREEZE 2026 vlog offers a personal look at that progression, capturing the nerves, excitement and eventual triumph of a band continuing to climb higher.
