South of England alternative rock band GLASS BRIDGES return with “Wish,” their second single for Year Of The Rat Records, arriving August 21. Blending atmospheric melodies, post-grunge energy and emotionally charged songwriting, the new track further introduces a band rapidly building a name as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging rock acts.
Fronted by Simona Cutifani, GLASS BRIDGES have already amassed more than 4.5 million streams and over 90,000 monthly Spotify listeners, while extensive touring has seen the band share stages with leading names across the alternative scene. Their growing live reputation has also earned appearances at festivals including 2000 Trees, RADAR Festival and Mangata Festival, establishing a connection with audiences that matches the emotional weight of their recorded material.
At the heart of “Wish” is an open exploration of longing and the vulnerability that comes with wanting to be completely understood and loved. Cutifani describes the song as being born from “the hope to be met completely by another,” turning that incessant yearning into something she views not as a weakness, but as an essential part of being human. The result is a track that embraces the beauty found in vulnerability rather than shying away from it.
“Wish” arrives as GLASS BRIDGES continue their new chapter with Year Of The Rat Records, following a run of growing industry attention that has included coverage from BBC Radio 1, Kerrang Radio and Kerrang Magazine, as well as Distorted Sound Magazine and editorial support from Apple Music and Deezer.
