DAZE OF JUNE - Release New Hard-Hitting Single "Matriarch"

Danish Metalcore heavyweights, DAZE OF JUNE are back and ready to follow the success of their two previous albums - “Heart of Silver” (2018) and “Tainted Blood” (2021) – with brand new music in the form of their latest offering “Matriarch”. Watch the accompanying music video below.

“Matriarch” is a deeply personal and emotional track that delves into frontman Benjamin Julian Ganzhorn's sudden loss of his mother. This is clearly heard both in the passionate lyrics of the song and the melancholic and hard-hitting feeling that you hear from the first note of the track.

“Matriarch is about the death of my mother. The process of being completely broken and wanting to be destroyed, to the phase of acceptance and being able to go on living with the loss in the best way possible”, says Benjamin.

The song has been written together with Nicklas Thomsen (Ghost Iris) and produced by Chris Kreutzfeldt (Cabal) and shows the heavier feeling that DAZE OF JUNE is bringing with their new music.

DAZE OF JUNE already racked up over 3.000.000 million streams and have been featured on some of Spotify’s most prominent playlists inc: New Metal Tracks, New Blood and New Core. They have supported the likes of Northlane, Thy Art Is Murder, Dead Letter Circus and Siamese, as well as having received media support from SiriusXM Octane and being part of the national Danish campaign “De Aflyste Navne” by Tak Rock!

With the release of “Matriarch”, DAZE OF JUNE is poised to take a giant leap and establish themselves as a recognized name on the international metal scene building on the momentum and fanbase they created with their first two releases. It’s a testament to the band's ability to combine both the visceral and the vulnerable in their music while confronting one of the most challenging things in life.

“Matriarch” is already available on all streaming platforms through Prime Collective.
