West Coast metalcore trio MUGSHOT has revealed the next single and title track, "Cold Will", from their upcoming EP that's out November 3rd via Pure Noise Records. Featuring guest Josh Mata of SKIN TICKET, the brutally poignant track delves deep into a relatable battle with depression and anxiety; their latest thematic topic in a string of songs about psychological pressures and societal discontent brought to light on the new EP.
Commenting on the single, MUGSHOT states: "'Cold Will' encapsulates a mindset of depression and the desire to seek any source of feeling – even if it means by acts of self infliction. The song follows the viewpoint of a person who is dealing with immeasurable anxiety and depression: a journey of trying to feel anything, whether physical or mental, to the point of death. The swinging pendulum of this narrative brings the viewer through ebbs and flows of darkening lyricism that ultimately results in the story ending with the unsatiated embrace of depression".
