After months of anticipation, MANY EYES - the new band fronted by iconic metalcore frontman, Keith Buckley – finally releases its debut single, “Revelation” via the Perseverance Media Group label. The song was co-written by Buckley with new band members and esteemed multi-instrumentalist brothers, Nick Bellmore and Charlie Bellmore.
Listen to “Revelation” below and stream on all platforms.
“Revelation” is a fast-paced, hard hitting track that reflects on Buckley’s internal battles as he’s worked on overcoming alcoholism over these last few years.
Commenting on the song, Buckley shares, “‘Revelation’ is about recognizing evil and having the courage, the wisdom and the faith to face it directly. I hope anyone who listens to this song feels empowered to confront injustice, no matter what form it takes in their lives.”
The band also shares an incredible, newly animated visual for the track, created by 3D artist Matthew Collamore (Polyphia). Watch it below. The “Revelation” single art was developed by Nick Steinhardt (from Touche’ Amore’) and Ryan Sanders from the MDRN DVSN agency.
A long and winding road brought Buckley to MANY EYES. As it did for so many of us, the pandemic forced Buckley to sit with himself and look back on his life, and he found himself at the end of the line. He knew something needed to change, so he decided to focus on his mental health, chose sobriety, spent a month in a recovery facility “to learn how to live soberly,” and reorganized his priorities as a father and husband.
During this time, Buckley wasn’t even thinking about potentially making a return to music. That is until Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta reached out and suggested he consider working with trusted ambidextrous collaborators Nick Bellmore and Charlie Bellmore whose diverse history in bands like Kingdom Of Sorrow, Toxic Holocaust, JASTA coupled with countless writing and touring experiences with a myriad of other acts like Corpsegrinder, Dee Snider and Ripper made them the perfect foils. As it turns out, the three musicians bonded over their shared deep-seated appreciation for nineties hard rock and alternative and struck a delicate balance between pit-splitting intensity and arresting infectiousness with brothers Charlie playing guitar (and bass), Nick playing bass/drums and also producing/mixing the new music, while Jamey Jasta took on the role of Executive Producer. The single and forthcoming new album were recorded at Dexter Lab Recording and mastered by Randy Merrill (Cage The Elephant, Imagine Dragons, Foo Fighters, Muse) at Sterling Sound.
“Keith has always had that special something. He's truly a rare talent; as a frontman, lyricist & songwriter,” shares Jamey Jasta. “His voice is so distinguishable and has inspired so many through his ability to connect his words to emotions and their subtext. After all he’s been through, the time has come for him to get back to doing what he does best — writing thought provoking lyrics, beautiful melodies and rocking stages across the globe. If they say a flame can light a million, I believe Keith’s voice is still that flame. When I reached out to him, I could tell he needed a small thoughtful group of few to cherish, nurture and hold that flame as that very torch to ignite a new firestorm. And with that, we have assembled that very team for the job at hand. I can’t wait for everyone to hear the new MANY EYES music and listen to our new podcasts.”
Earlier this week, the band announced they will be heading out on tour next year, opening for Thursday on their 21 year anniversary tour of their acclaimed album, War All The Time. This will mark the band’s first full U.S. tour and also the first chance for fans to hear the new MANY EYES material live. See below for a full list of dates and get your tickets now HERE.
