PLEIADES - Release Thriling New Single "Universal"

Manchester-based Art-Rock / Post Hardcore outfit Pleiades have today shared their brand new single ‘Universal’ and another piece of their highly anticipated debut album ‘Affinity With’. With intricate verses and impactful instrumentation leading up to a post-rock/metal crescendo conclusion ‘Universal’ shows a slightly different edge to Pleiades and the upcoming album.

“Universal was our chance on the album to take a breath and take the tempo down and write something that could be performed at a more conversational pace. Mewithoutyou being one of my big influences I look up to Aaron Weiss a lot and his exploration of his faith in such a unique way. The line ‘Will I get my universe?’ is asking questions about human ambition and knowing when to be satisfied and find gratitude in your accomplishments, to take a moment and be present.” - Vocalist, Andrew Calderbank.

The album will be released on Friday 29th September 2023 and pre-orders are now available right HERE. Affinity With’ is inspired by stories of empathy and human nature as Pleiades set out to be the sculptors of a bold new sonic landscape.

On top of the new single release Pleiades have announced that they will be touring across the UK to support their upcoming album release this October. Starting in London on the 10th October and finishing in Edinburgh on the 15th October. Tickets are now on sale HERE.

Pleiades earned critical acclaim with the release of their second EP ‘All At Your Mercy’ defying the concept of convention and all expectations of genre, with their organic and strikingly candid approach to their craft leading Kerrang! to dub them a “vital new voice in UK rock” and Metal Hammer to share “These Manchester Post Metallers masterfully shift dynamics”. The band have since gone on to share stages with Pagan, Blanket, Hawthorne Heights, As Everything Unfolds and more, affirming a status worthy of a place among the highest ranks of the global scene.
