Fearless UK band MOSKITO are back with their ‘Gritty, British, and in your face’
brand of fresh Punk Rock. Following the breath-taking launch of the band towards
the end of 2021 they now return with their brand-new single ‘Sweet Fruit’ which is
out now on all platforms. It’s a track that takes a drop in terms of pace but doesn't
hold back when it comes to energy and relevance.
Centred around the incapability to resist, Sweet Fruit is the first release which is self-
produced by the band leading them to explore more of a dark and ominous overtone
utilising deep layers of vocal harmonies and eerie mysterious guitar tones. Arguably
being the bands 'poppiest' song to date however, this is no ordinary pop song.
“Sweet Fruits lyrics portray how easy it is to play away in a relationship, with all the
distractions in today’s society. It’s unwieldy temptation at the push of a button. Is it
too sweet? What a waste it is.” - Frontman Jake Rudd.
Sweet Fruit signifies the bands next instalment which is that of a 'sassier' one. The
‘Rudd’ brothers continue to front the stage tapping into a chemistry which
spearheads a powerful, confident stage presence amongst the quartet.
The band’s debut single ‘Gone With the Girl Next Door’ and sophomore single
‘Don’t Touch My Baby’ made a huge impact on the scene that needed them. The
singles led the band to making their first ever live appearance across the UK causing
havoc at every destination.
The single’s saw MOSKITO receive praise from the likes of Rock Sound, Rolling
Stone Magazine, Kerrang! Radio, Planet Rock, All Punked Up, New Noise
Magazine, Punktastic & BBC Introducing, whilst acquiring their rightful spot on
huge Spotify playlists.
‘Sweet Fruit’ continues to prove why MOSKITO are a force to be reckoned with right
now. Their journey as an ensemble is refreshingly relevant during this decade.
Crafting deeply honest yet antagonistic music that allows listeners to lose
themselves through spontaneous mayhem.
