Vienna, Virginia-based Atmospheric Downtempo/Deathcore one-man act, MOON DEVOURED has unleashed a DEFTONES cover "Risk".
He commented:
"Easily in my top 5 favorite songs by my favorite band of all time, Deftones, Risk was written about their bassist Chi Cheng during his several-year coma following a traffic collision. The song had always been one of my favorites but when my Dad went into a coma for three weeks following the contraction of Covid during his second year of chemotherapy, and then died, the song took on a whole new momentum and I've not been able to jam it the way I used to. I've long wanted to do a metal vocal cover in my [albeit heavily criticized] style of a non-heavy Deftones song, this one - and with Moon Devoured's retirement in place - felt like the right choice.
