ZILCH. - Release New Single Video "Misgiven"

Fuzzed-up alternative crew ZILCH have just released their ultra-magnetic new single and video "Misgiven".

Born in Worcester, England in 2018 and consisting of Thom Dewhurst (Vocals/Guitar) Cal Neathway (Bass) and Crag Sharpe (Drums), ZILCH set out a manifesto to craft loud, distorted, heavy, groove-laden music while still maintaining hooky and melodic pop sensibilities, and upon feasting your senses on the ascending alt-rockers you’ll find that the contagious scuzzy rock trio have more than fulfilled their brief. With an encyclopaedia of influences stemming from Slipknot, David Bowie and The Beatles, the alt-rockers’ most apparent comparisons sit with Mudhoney, Alice in Chains, Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana and Violent Soho.

ZILCH released a hatful of standalone singles throughout 2018 and 2019 which helped to create early awareness of the band’s guile and notable appeal, and when their debut EP, Cigars & Diazepam, arrived in September of 2020, the hooky alt-rock crew stepped up to a new level. Acclaimed for a live show that is gloriously booming, energetic, and interactive, the band finished 2020 with a legion of new fans and a slew of touring plans for the following year. But as Covid ravaged the world, ZILCH recoiled and began to write fresh material. The band emerged from lockdown armed with a sophomore EP which is expected to be launched in 2022. The EP will include the threesome’s brand new single, Misgiven, which is a blazing piece of alluring pop rock, framed with stout riffs and the band’s trademark fuzzed-up branding. Vocalist and guitarist, Thom Dewhurst elaborates about the track: “The recording process was really easy, we got it done in about a day. I think everyone who hears it will read into it differently. It's a pop bopper with heavy overtones and all too familiar subjects of anxiety and doubt.” With a series of shows for next year and a new record on the way, 2022 is poised to be a monolithic year for ZILCH.
