EMECIA - Release New Single/Video "Afterlives"

EMECIA, Adelaide's post-hardcore quartet are BACk to give the world 'Afterlives', their new single and video. The new track is available now at http://ffm.to/emecia_afterlives. The song, about taking opportunities and second chances, rolls out into the world today, Friday July 30th.

The Adelaide based Alternative Rock outfit combine elements of Post-Hardcore and upbeat Punk Rock to create their captivating sound - and this new single Afterlives is no exception! Hysteria Mag said in their premiere yesterday - "Adelaide’s Emecia has turned the energy all the way up with their epic new single, Afterlives."

According to vocalist Scott Midlin, this new single is about "...being given an opportunity by someone and persevering no matter how many times you feel defeated. It's about keeping positive vibes, as well as looking after your mental health."

Hysteria Mag featured Emecia around their 2018 release and said about them "These guys have guts. Emecia are an entity breathing as one and have done so since their inception in 2013. Their debut EP Pariah set their sound in stone, Emecia bursting through the gates of their home city in support slots with the likes of Bless The Fall, Like Moths To Flames and more."

AAA Backstage also previously gave them praise, saying "Sonically, Emecia touch on classic post-hardcore and punk tropes; which is certainly not a bad thing. The guitars are piercing, almost metallic and the breakdowns are fierce. They roll into the group’s lyrics so effortlessly, giving everything that extra punch."

The quartet debuted in 2013 with their EP ‘Pariah’, are renowned for their high-energy live show, and have honed their craft by playing countless shows locally and abroad on many tour circuits, having played alongside heavyweights such as Closure In Moscow, In Hearts Wake, Allday and Chiodos (just to mention a diverse few.)

After a huge 2018-19 under their belts due to the release of their debut album ‘Familiar Spirits’, Emecia are determined to make 2021 even bigger - bolstered by a new line-up, new music and more chaotic, high energy shows to come.

Emecia are Scott Middlin on Vocals, Trevor Lehmann on Guitar, Nicholas Evans on Bass and Brayden McPherson on Drums.

'Afterlives' is out now Friday, July 30 and can be purchased/streamed at http://ffm.to/emecia_afterlives
