Adelaide powerhouse newcomers Heartline are today sharing their epic second single, "under the willow" from upcoming EP, 'i call for the sinking warmth' - due for release next Friday March 26!

Produced by Lance Prenc (Polaris, Gravemind, Diamond Construct), the single storms into the first verse with brutal force and keeps up the energy until a somber and thoughtful interlude cuts through the noise to see the single out. The video premiered at Depth Mag yesterday with an interview introducing Heartline as a force to be reckoned with.

Sonically the track compliments the lyrical theme, demonstrating a juxtaposition between chaos and quiet, like finding peace and comfort in isolation. Vocalist Luke Taylor explains: "Sitting in a hammock under a big willow tree in one of my worst mental states, I looked at the branches and just wished they would grow all the way down to the ground so I was just cut off from everything."

"This was oddly calming at the time which landed the idea of constant return to a place of comfort. The juxtaposition that this place of comfort is associated with the feeling of isolation and depression, meaning the constant return here is done in the hope that it may just finally close over and lock me inside."

To celebrate the release of Heartline's brand new music, the band will be performing the release in full at Adelaide's Fat Controller on Friday March 26 when they step up to support Belle Haven and Alt. on the 'Nobody Likes A Hospital' tour. Tickets available via Destroy All Lines.

"as the crow flies" lead the countdown to the forthcoming EP and featured none other than David De La Hoz (Belle Haven/Wither). The single weaved its way through electronic interludes and hard hitting segments that mastered the contrasting light and dark.

The single premiered at Maniacs, who accompanied with a rave review: "There's a level of songwriting maturity on display here that is rarely seen from a band so fresh into their journey ... It reminds us a little bit of Node/Alien era Northlane, but still with a distinctly different feel overall". Triple j Unearthed's Dave Ruby Howe also added: "Intensity incarnate. Everything feels heightened and at breaking point here." Heartline is Luke Taylor (vocals), Fraser Stiles (guitar), Nevenko Sarunic (bass) and Michael Cooper (drums). After the group’s formation in 2019, the four-piece released their debut single "Frail" and followed up with their EP ‘Essence’. "Crystal Eyes" came soon after, solidifying the band as ones to watch. The band received attention and respect early on from their peers and from the alternative scene for their advanced musicianship at such a young age as well as their captivating live show, leading to support slots with some of Australia's finest metal and alternative acts including Thy Art Is Murder, Gravemind, Diamond Construct, The Brave, RedHook, Wither, Tapestry and Windwaker.

Heartline have earned themselves a loyal fan base and are preparing to take their new presence and sound across the country with their upcoming release ‘i call for the sinking warmth’ - coming very soon.

"under the willow" and "as the crow flies" featuring David De La Hoz are available now on all digital and streaming platforms.
