Known for being open in expressing vulnerability in their lyrics, Midwest alternative rock outfit Makena are sharing 'SM2099', their brand-new single about feeling lost in life, and holding onto hope that we will eventually find our way through it all. 'SM2099' is premiering on YouTube channel Dreambound, and released via Famined Records.

Blending vigorous, melodic instrumentation and powerful vocals, Makena's 'SM2099', originally titled 'Spiderman 2099' inspired by Miles from Into The Spiderverse, is a hard-hitting force both musically and emotionally. It is about feeling like you have no sense of purpose or direction, yet knowing that this feeling is temporary, because no matter how bad things may get, "we'll find our way" through it all.

'SM2099' is going to be part of Makena's newest EP, 'Expedition', a collection of the band's experiences and discoveries, out on April 2.
