The dual announcement of the contest and the acoustic version of the song comes after the recently released music video for the original version of “Learn To Walk Again” from their sophomore album, N.A.T.I.O.N., received over 515K views on YouTube and the track received over 6.2 Million streams on Spotify.

Vocalist Tommy Vext talks about “Learn to Walk Again”: “This song embodies the spirit of human resilience. The lyrics were written around when I was approaching my decade of sobriety mark and was reflecting heavily on how much my life had changed. The title stems from a poem I wrote when I was hospitalized in 2010 after almost losing my life. On September 12, 2020 almost ten years to the date of my attempted murder, two Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department officers were shot in Compton in an ambushed assassination attempt. After being shot in the neck and face the officer managed to give each other aid and stay alive while backup and end arrived on scene. LASD Officer Katie Garcia nominated the courageous surviving officers and the band unanimously knew we had to include their bravery in our learn to walk again challenge. It has been an honor for us to give back if even just a little to those who so bravely serve our communities. We know that nothing can compare to the sacrifice so many put on the line everyday to keep our communities safe. And in the spirit of generosity we are wishing ALL a safe and happy holiday season this year as we all heal from this year and move forward onto better days ahead.”

Bad Wolves consists of vocalist Tommy Vext (ex-Divine Heresy), drummer John Boecklin (ex-Devildriver), guitarist Doc Coyle (ex-God Forbid), guitarist Chris Cain (Bury Your Dead), and bassist Kyle Konkiel (ex-In This Moment). In 2019, they continued that momentum with their sophomore album,N.A.T.I.O.N. The stunning 12-track follow-up to their debut album, Disobey, is a bit of a departure – staying in the same realm musically, but breaking beyond.
