Dark and gritty, the band pays homage to 90s era industrial and goth with this electronic rock song that boasts a danceable beat and lyrical themes about rising up and overcoming the things that beat you down. The man behind the project, Ian D., shares his thoughts on this pick: “I chose “The Reckoning” to be the first single, because it’s catchy, dark, heavy, and has some cool vocals on it. Originally, I was thinking of a different track, but Tommy Church sent over the latest mix, which was different than the one I originally had worked on. I knew the moment I listened to it that I wanted it to be the first song to be released for the planned album. Independent hard rock band NEW SAVIORS - Zack King (guitar/vocals), Michaela King (vocals), Steve Paige (guitar), and Kyle Frechette (drums) - released their brand new single "Alive" today with an accompanying music video. The song was tracked by the band. They brought it to Tyler Shoemaker at Greyscale Recordings for preproduction and Danny DiBella mixed and mastered it over at DiBella Studios. Indie metal band Blood of the Phoenix rises to the top of the ranks with their shocking dynamic vocal style, powerful storytelling and robust instrumentation. Drawing inspiration from early 2000s Metalcore, the band has created their niche pocket in the hardcore genre. This five-piece ensemble consists of Jess Escobar as lead vocalist, Bradley Hart & Manny Marwaha on guitar, Jade Weekes on bass, and Nolan Moore on the drums.
