A LIGHT DIVIDED - Cut Through the "Radio Silence"

Winston-Salem hard rock outfit A Light Divided are back with an electrifying new single "Radio Silence." The track seamlessly blends heavy riffs, electronic breaks and arena-ready hooks while tackling themes of being heard in a world full of noise.

"In a broader sense, 'Radio Silence' is about the feeling of trying to break through the static and have your voice be heard," explains vocalist Jaycee Clark. "Whether it be in a relationship, or professionally, or a million other situations, I think we’ve all experienced the frustration of feeling that disconnection."

"Radio Silence" could also be seen through the lens of a band's frustration with current events. 2020 was shaping up to be another year on the grind for A Light Divided; kicking off with a January tour supporting Awake At Last fresh off their run on the Octane Accelerator Tour, then everything came to a full and sudden halt with Covid-19.

"For me personally, that’s what it feels like to be in an independent touring band trying to reach that next level," explains Clark, "You’re out there trying to make all this noise and sometimes, it can feel like you’re invisible." Since touring was off the table, the band decided to keep pushing forward anyway they could. They re-entered the studio earlier this year to start working on new music and prepare for better days ahead.

A Light Divided features the powerhouse pipes of frontwoman Jaycee Clark, plus instrumentation from drummer Adam Smith, bassist Scott Vallina, as well as guitarists Doug Weichbrodt and Colt Crevar.

As proven by their work ethic and determination to succeed, coupled with their high-intensity live show, A Light Divided has continued to amass a growing underground army of dedicated fans. Their unique blend of rock and metal with pop sensibility has landed them opportunities to perform on major festivals (Vans Warped Tour, Blue Ridge Rock Fest, and Cadott, WI’s Rock Fest) as well as with several national acts (such as In This Moment, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Motionless In White, August Burns Red, & Lacuna Coil, & more)

The most recent album Choose Your Own Adventure was produced by Kile Odell (Motionless In White, Shamans Harvest, Fozzy) and Joshua Landry (Letters From The Fire, Motionless In White). Infectious pop hooks, exhilarating vocals, hair-raising riffs, and unforgettable melodies are only a fraction of what listeners can expect as the album explores personal, relevant topics - ranging from relationships to mental health - inspired by their own lives and losses.

A Light Divided spent 2019 on the road playing more than 100 shows coast to coast as well as racking up 1 million + Spotify Streams for the album with placement of “Fear of Heights” on the curated Heavy Queens playlist, as well as winning “Best Rock Video” at the 2019 Carolina Music Awards for their song “Scars of You”.
