SET TO CHANGE - Release New Single “Still Torn”

Paris four-piece Set To Change have released an enthralling video for their brand new single “Still Torn”, evolving in the punk-hardcore mix they had previously showcased on past EP “The Great Nothing”. You can check it out by clicking on this link or on the image above.

The new track “Still Torn” aligns with the familiar topic of finding ourselves, and the construction of self as human beings. How can we leave the tracks set by our parents or guardians? If we want to reconstruct ourselves, do we learn from our mistakes or do we try and learn lessons from someone else’s past? The French outfit, now with a perfected lineup, does a great job at asking themselves these questions in a heavy track with metalcore, ambient and melodic influences, without sacrificing the grungy moments that characterize the essence of the band, a bridge between their latest release and a new EP, due to come out before the end of the year.

On the track, guitarist Jeb Benard shares that they “wanted the song to have a deeper sound atmosphere than our grungy tone on the EP. Still Torn could fit both within the EP and what we’re working on right now. So it’s definitely the perfect track to release now.”

The track is spectacularly accompanied by a 5-minute long storyline music video, drawing connections between the existential nature of the new song and the cover of previous EP “The Great Nothing”, which was cleverly brought to life in segments of the beautifully directed video. “Steph (bass guitar) and Antoine (vocals) are really into movies and cinematic art in general. So when we talked about making our first music video they really wanted to do something more than just a video where you can see us play and nothing happens,” Jeb confirms.
