Manila based progressive metal quintet ORCA dropped a brand new track accompanied by a lyric video. ‘Spirit Breaker’ is the second single from the band’s upcoming album which explores dark themes of depression and the human psychology entitled ‘The Invitation’ that is set to be released by the end of the year. The album will be a follow up to their two EPs Creation and Engender released in 2015 and 2017 respectively.
“Depression is dark, heavy, painful and terrifying. Inflicting physical pain and even taking your own life, you think, would be much better, that the pain will stop and everything will be alright again. Instead, depression seems to go to your very soul, affecting everything in its path.
Dead inside. Numb. Perhaps the worst part of it is that you remember when you actually felt something before and the contrast between then and now just makes the pain even worse.
