LOWBORN - Dig Up Their Demons In Video For New Single "Dark Inside"

Let LOWBORN enter the darkest corners of your soul with their latest single. “Dark Inside” is where you hide your secrets, where your worst demons are afraid to go, the house where you stored the skeletons from your closet.

It’s well past Halloween and Christmas cheer has started to approach, but electro/alternative rock band LOWBORN is delving into downward spirals and digging up demons instead. The video for “Dark Inside” pulls from “The Blair Witch Project” with haunting, dark rooms and shadows, and a similar “first-person found footage” style. As vocalist Wes Lauterbach stumbles through an ominous abandoned house he finds his bandmates performing in trances as he is grabbed by hands that don’t belong to anything human. While the music video provides a haunting chill and LOWBORN’s multiple-member-drumming staple that we all know and love, the single itself is an insane execution of LOWBORN’s ability to write and produce smash rock hits that can’t be compared to any another band.

"'We shot the video in the creepy upstairs of a building that was built in 1910. It was only made creepier when we found out there have been multiple ghost sightings in the upstairs where we filmed the video. They say it’s the ghost of a boy and his younger sister. We filmed the video in the dark with only spotlights on us and backlighting in some scenes. The dark was very nerve-wracking when the lights weren’t on. " - LOWBORN on the making of the "Dark Inside" video.

“Dark Inside” kicks off with a jumping beat that immediately gets stuck in your head, with electronic synth rhythms that take the rock band aspect into the next dimension. Lauterbach delved deep into shadowy spirals of self-reflection and emerged grasping the “Dark Inside” concept in hand. Depression, toxic relationships and every dim place in between are the main inspirations for LOWBORN’s most profound and intense work yet.
