BLKLST - Release New Single/Video "Let Go" From New EP "Spider Love" Out June 7

Melbourne's BLKLST today unveil the haunting second single, "Let Go", from upcoming EP Spider Love out Friday June 7 and available for pre-order at https://ffm.to/blklst_spiderloveep. Exploding into 2019 with the first cut from the EP, "They All Look The Same", featuring Aidan Ellaz of Dealer, BLKLST are backing it up with this huge second offering!

"Let Go" opens with clean vocals that set the tone for the rest of the track. The cleans are reminiscent of a sirens call for the depths - the depths being the all encompassing darkness that follows drug abuse. Passionately aggressive rough vocals answer the tantalising melodic introduction with lyrics of emotional desperation from vocalist Joshua Westwick: "...It'll take everything you've got, and I don't want to sit here and watch you abuse, but what the f*ck does it matter to me, it doesn't matter to you." The track soon finds its way back to the hypnotic cleans that breathe "...so don't be afraid, just let go" before the heavy elements that give BLKLST their brutal reputation appear and weave their way throughout.

Both singles and the EP 'Spider Love' were produced at STL Studios by Evan Lee with additional engineering by Sonny Truelove, and mixed and mastered by Evan Lee and Ash Daws at THE LOUD NOISE ESTATE. The EP itself is the result of material written and produced over the last two years and centers itself around the theme of letting something you love consume you.

The singles "Hypocrite" and "Phase" from last years 'Hard to Swallow' EP skyrocketed BLKLST's Spotify fan base by a whopping 2069% to over 25k listeners in that month and found themselves placed in playlists including New Metal Tracks and Rock Out - and sold out their hometown EP launch show at Stay Gold. "Hypocrite" was spun on triple j's The Racket, added to rotation on The Faction Radio, added to Spotify Official's Homegrown and Heavy playlist and the clip was played on Rage. killyourstereo.com stated that "Hypocrite" is BLKLST at "...not only their most dynamic and darkest here, but also at their most interesting too."

For those new to BLKLST - the band was formed in 2015 and have made their mark quick off the bat. Establishing themselves in the heavy music scene with a crushing live show and a decimatingly heavy sound, the band quickly chalked up supports with bands such as, Make Them Suffer, Deez Nuts, Alpha Wolf, Earth Caller and Justice for The Damned and interstate runs with 36 Crazyfists, Superheist and Boris The Blade.

BLKLST's new single "Let Go" will be available to purchase and stream from Friday May 17 and their new EP 'Spider Love' will see its release on Friday June 7 with Pre-Orders live now at https://ffm.to/blklst_spiderloveep and from all good online outlets and streaming platforms.
