Times are changing in the Bleed Again camp and they are showing it by releasing a brand new EP named "Transition" as a message about such changes. "Transition" is being self-released on a 100 physical copy run and digitally on April 19th. The Worthing metal outfit have also released a video for their lead single "The Awakening".
Towards the end of 2018 and start of 2019, long-time bassist Jonathan Liffen left the band on good terms to focus on family life. Bleed Again have since appointed Sam Jones on bass.
Vocalist James Dawson says "Jonathan hadn't featured on any of the EP. All bass and clean singing is done by Sam Jones who officially joined the band in January.
This EP is about the band transitioning in our personal lives over the past two years and transitioning as a band in general with losing Jon and soon to be losing Russell and looking to the future. Three of us have become parents since "Momentum" was released in 2017. Trying to be in a touring band and juggling our home lives have been hard work, to say the least.
The lead single 'The Awakening' is about waking up to responsibilities. Even having so much going for you in life, you can still feel lower then ever and you need to wake up and get yourself going again, not just for you, but for those around you.
The video is being released on our social media at5pm on April 12th. We have decided to do a small release of this 5 track EP as we wanted to put out some music to our fans whilst we move into this new period as a band and write album number two."

James Dawson on the new bassist and the writing techniques for the EP, "He is naturally a guitar player but has come in and smashed the bass and vocals. Sam is a great musician and has an incredible voice, which is very apparent on this EP.
This is the first time I have had to write chorus' myself and tried to make them big and catchy without the usual help of Jon. I feel I have succeeded to a certain degree, even if the choruses are a little different to our usual stuff. Sam has also helped with this and added and changed parts for the better."
