Brit newcomers ICARUS DIVE continue their climb by dropping a spanking new video for the track, "The New Gods", see below! . The song has been lifted from the alt- rockers’ much acclaimed recent EP, Among The Thorns, which is out now.
Hailing from the leafy suburbs of Guildford, ICARUS DIVE are certainly making their mark on the UK’s buoyant scene. The crafty quartet released their new breath-taking EP, Among The Thorns, this Summer, and the response has been amazing. To date, the record has picked up rampant support from Powerplay Magazine, Classic Rock Magazine, and Louder, as well as regular rotation on BBC Introducing and Kerrang! Radio. The EP has been backed with a slew of highly successful live shows throughout the South and beyond.
ICARUS DIVE will now plough forward again as they reveal a killer video for The New Gods, which was recorded at the band’s recent EP launch. The song is symptomatic of the band’s alluring and deeply woven sound. With captivating riffery, oft-kilter dynamics and neat phrasing, The New Gods is as hypnotic as it is all-consuming. Vocalist Joe Crooks comments on the track: “We wanted to capture some of the energy that we see at our gigs and there was no better time than at our EP launch in our hometown of Guildford. We wanted to show anyone that missed out that we are a band worth making the trip to see”.
