We paid a visit to Graz in Austria to Explosiv venue to catch Bury Tomorrow on their headline Eurropean tour along with 36 Crazyfists, Cane Hill and Crystal Lake.
The venue was really nice packed from the beginning. The opener for tonight were Japanese Metalcore force, Crystal Lake that we were eager to see for the first time live.
Crystal Lake
What an opening this was! The band presented their new album "Helix". The drummer first came on stage and screamed something in Japanese and started powerful solo on drums. Sometimes you can smell right from the start, that this will be a night to remember! What an absolute powerful performance from the band, such an intense energy we haven't seen for a really long, long time!
Frontman Rio was so in crowd participation, jumping all around the stage, YD was a beast on guitar, head banging, showing devil horns and making crazy moves all around. Mosh pit was set on fire! They really set the bar very high for the rest of the bands! Mind blowing!!!
Cane Hill
Then we also had the pleasure to see for the very first time nu-metal or alternative, what your prefer, Cane Hill. They presented their new album "Too Far Gone". Certainly different vibes then Japanese band before, but we enjoyed the show very much from start to finish! Vocalist Elijah Witt and the boys take us through the journey in majority with tracks from the last offering.
36 Crazyfists
Then came out the veterans of this tour package! They were one of those second wave nu-metal bands that came out and after the golden era ended, went to metalcore and then back to alternative more oriented sound. They were presenting their last album "Lanterns". They went through all the catalogue and the fans appreciated, specially "Bloodwork" and "Slit Wrist Theory" with Brock Lindow trademark shaky voice!
Bury Tomorrow
The time fled fast and we were waiting for the last band of the night already, Bury Tomorow! This UK Metalcore champs don't need much presentation! They were presenting their new album "Black Flame". We could here new tracks like "More Than A Mortal", "No Less Violent" and off course the title track "Black Flame".
The crowd sing along, mosh pit was on going, crowd surfing, name it it was happening all at once! Daniel really shined on vocals with the rest of the guys and so much positive energy was in the air, despite heavy music was played!
The conclusion? Aaaaamazing night that we will never forget! All the bands were great and didn't disappointed at all! See you next time Graz!
