ORTHODOX - Share New Video for “The Anticipation” From Sounds Of Loss and Embark On US Tour In November With Spite and Shadow Of Intent

Today, the Nashville straight edge crew, Orthodox, shared the official video for “The Anticipation” via a premiere with No Echo. The track is the opener on their 2017 debut Sounds Of Loss that came out via Unbeaten Records. It opens with a piercing riff that builds upon a nail biting introduction to the record. The video is nightmarish, only adding to the anxiety that the album opener sets forth. Orthodox will be touring the US this November with Spite and Shadow Of Intent on the Kill or Be Killed Tour.

Speaking on the video Adam Easterling (vocals) says:

“‘The Anticipation’ is a song about realizing you are going to lose something or someone that you love, and that it’s completely out of your hands. Sonically we wanted it to sound like anxiety, and I tried to write the lyrics to match that intensity the best I could.”

The Nashville, TN metal crew, Orthodox, has been making their presence known since early 2012. Over the years, the sound and the line-up has changed in many ways. Lead singer, Adam Easterling, also known for drumming in Purgatory, has been at it since the beginning and has gathered a decent collective of musicians over time. The line-up consists of Easterling, Mike White on drums, who plays in Ohio’s Natural Selection, as well as Taylor Stephenson on guitar and Jacob Lilly on bass, both also known for their up-and-coming group, Chamber - who recently released: Hatred Softly Spoken. Orthodox released Sounds of Loss in 2017, on Unbeaten Records, and have reached most of the country touring off of it in the last year. With word of another album ahead and tours in the works, Orthodox will be a band to keep an eye on in the coming months.
