GREYHAVEN - Share “Sweet Machine" Video, Touring With Stray From The Path and Silent Planet

Progressive Metal act, Greyhaven, are sharing the new video for their single “Sweet Machine” today!  "Sweet Machine" is one of the standout tracks amongst the many blistering metal anthems on their highly-acclaimed latest full-length, "Empty Black". The band will close out their year of high profile tours by supporting Stray From The Path and Silent Planet on a full run of the United States this fall.

“Sweet Machine” kicks in without regard for anyone in the immediate vicinity, jumping between heavy grooves and creeping melodies. The video portrays vocalist Brent Mills fighting a losing battle against technology and a mess of wires. Speaking on the video, Mills (vocals) says:

“The song is about recognizing you’re pulled into the system in some fashion whether you like it or not. Somewhere down the line you’re a link in the chain. So we just had fun with this concept in the video, trying to create dreamlike representations of these ideas and here it is, the sweet machine.”

Empty Black is an explosive collection of heavy rock that incorporate a myriad of influences. The album possesses an impactful, driving energy that is infectious - complete with underlying ethereal tones that set the stage for the band’s abrasive compositions. Empty Black undoubtedly positions Greyhaven as torchbearers in the resurgence of progressive metal. You can stream it now on YouTube and it is also available on Spotify.

Empty Black is best encapsulated by one phrase - “make the accident look like it was on purpose”. This isn’t due to a lack of intent, but more so to a commitment to experimentation. As a product of the vibrant yet insular music scene in Louisville, Kentucky, Greyhaven has never been afraid to pursue the avant-garde. On Empty Black they’ve created an album that is pristinely violent while challenging the norms associated with heavy rock music. The Will Putney (Every Time I Die, Body Count, Knocked Loose, Amity Affliction) produced record is out now on Graphic Nature / Equal Vision Records.
