FOTO SHOW REPORT - RISE UP FESTIVAL 2017

On the 4th of March, we went to Judenburg, a mountain town in Austria where we attended the Rise Up festival, which was the host of the SELF INFLICTED European Tour. The festival took place at the local event center. We must say that this is by far one of the most beautiful venues we ever attended shows!

We were really excited to go ever since we learned of the performing bands. The headline bands were together on tour across Europe. The tour began on the 3rd of February, at De Klinker Club in Aarschot, Belgium. One month long tour ended in Munchen, Germany at the Backstage Club.

The performing bands were: Chelsea Grin, Betraying The Martyrs, Make Them Suffer and Void Of Vision with other great Austrian bands such as Vinegar Hill, Leons Massacre, Dreaded Downfall, Pain Is and Uzziel.

Uzziel opened the festival with their trash metal and followed by Pain Is, the modern metal that heated up the atmosphere at the venue!
After them, it was time for post-hardcore with Dreaded Downfall. Solid performance from this guys, despite drummer, had some problems, butt pulled it out great at the end!
Leons Massacre had already a full room of people when they started with their post-hardcore/metalcore mayhem. Good performance from the guys!
The last one to hit the stage before the main four was melodic metallers Vinegar Hill!
Opening bands did a really good job and lifted up the audience for the coming bands.

Void of Vision began to play and they did it with a bang! Not long ago they released their first album called "Children of Chrome". Before that, they released an EP in 2014, Broken Bones. They have a curious pre-show warm up that they shared on Facebook...before they go on stage they have a competition in throwing bottles of water and the one whose bottle lands perfectly on top is the winner of the game. They delivered a powerful performance and the crowd was filling it. We did an interview with them after the show, you should check it out below. After them, it was time for Make Them Suffer. So far they released two studio albums and an EP. They recently released a new song called Ether. It was a solid performance.
The stage area was most crowded when Betraying The Martyrs delivered with their deathcore symphonies. They opened their show with the new song Lost For Words from the recently released album called The Resilient. The last, Chelsea Grin took place on stage and gave a satisfying performance with some older and newer songs. They were presenting their new album, after which, the tour is called. The Self Inflicted was released on 1st of July last year. In the beginning of 2017, the deluxe edition came out. This is their fourth album. Overall they delivered a powerful performance.

When it was time to leave the concert venue we were more than satisfied, the bands were more than worthy of our travel, funds and time.
