PHOTO SHOW REPORT - SMELLS LIKE K. SPIRIT (NIRVANA TRIBUTE) - 27TH OCTOBER 2016@CVETLICARNA, LJUBLJANA; SLOVENIA
Nirvana is sadley long gone, but we had a pleasure to revive the golden age of grunge, with the tribute band from Switzerland, called Smells Like K. Spirit. The concert took place on a chilly thursday night in Ljubljana, Slovenia at venue Cvetlicarna. The place was already decorated for Helloween and it was perfect for that night!
We could here all the hits from In Bloom, Heart-Shaped Box, Come As You Are, Lithium and the one and only Smells Like Teen Spirit just to name a few! The show was divided in three parts.
First was all the bang you can get from the band and the second part was an acoustic set from MTV Unplluged songs from the band and third one again on heavy side of their set!
Musically speaking the band delivered a powerfull performance, but on the other hand vocaly, singer Timmy couldn't get out that raw voice that Kurt had, but never the less more than hundred people enjoyed the show.
When we thought the show was over after hour and a half we had the opportunity to listen to the "real" band that this three guys have under the name of Take It By Storm.
For the half people that was the end of the night, for others not! Take It By Storm is hard rock band with solid good songs and for those who sticked to the end a bonus song was played, Nirvana's "You Kow You're Right".
Overall it was a great show and we recomend you to check out this tribute band.
