INSANE BLOG had a pleasure to chat aftershow in Ljubljana;Slovenia with THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE frontman Ricky, where they put an amazing show with loads of energy.
This is only a short version of what we talked about and really intresting chat we had, because of recordings gonne bad, we had to re-do it over mail.
Amazing show tonight at Gala Hala Ricky, congrats! You have also some family roots here, right?
Yes I do! My Grandmother was born in Yugoslavia and I was raised hearing so many stories of it. And thanks!
The tour is more than a half gone. How is this tour going so far for you guys?
The tour was really awesome. It was crazy seeing that we were actually pulling some people out in different countries.
Deady Years is out for quiet some time now. How are you sodisfied with feedback so far?
People seem to take it pretty well. Honestly dead years is getting is a much better reaction than the other stuff.
The songs that stand out from the album is single Hell Praiser and A Damn Moment. What can you tell us more about? How did you wrote them,inspirations?
Well those both started off with a few of Jack's riffs! A Damn Moment was actually the first song that Jack got to work on... I knew there was a way to work with that style and do it in a unique way. Hell Praiser came together pretty fast. Rad song.
Do you have some new songs already? Do you wright on tour? Did you tray them live? New album plans?
We have a new song! A few others written on tour.
How you spend your free time on tour, between shows,soundcheks and press?
Working on my laptop, reading, that type of thing. I'm pretty boring.
When you are at home what is is your fave thing to spend time? Watching movies, reading a book, hang out with friends?
I would give anything to have free time when I'm home again but right now it's mostly a rat race to get the bills paid.
On what movie soundtrack would you like to be if you had a chance?
Nothing cool because if I was watching a movie and my music came on I'd say, "ah what the fuck?!" and stop paying attention. This one time some dude took one of our old songs and played it over a video montage of x rated chick wrestling and it was so bizarre.
