French metalcore force RESOLVE return with “Godtier,” the second single from their forthcoming third album Spread My Ashes Into Space, due for release on January 15, 2027 via Arising Empire. Following the album’s expansive title track, the new single takes a more chaotic and volatile route, combining crushing modern metalcore with nu-metal bounce, cavernous heaviness and atmospheric passages. “Godtier” captures RESOLVE at a point where intensity and melody collide without sacrificing the emotional depth that has become central to their sound.
Where the album’s title track explores the desire to escape from the overwhelming weight of reality, “Godtier” takes the opposite path. The song is built around the idea of willingly moving toward the fire rather than running from it, using the image of a character steering a spaceship directly into a dying sun as a metaphor for chasing an experience so intensely that the eventual consequences become unavoidable.
That sense of surrender gives “Godtier” its distinctive tension. RESOLVE vocalist Anthony Diliberto describes the song as embracing the inevitable collapse rather than fearing it, capturing the addictive beauty of pushing yourself beyond the point of exhaustion and accepting the damage that can follow. Musically, that mindset translates into a track that constantly shifts between groove-driven impact, frantic heaviness and expansive atmosphere, reflecting the turbulent emotions at its core.
