Bristol-based nu-metalcore wrecking crew COBER MOUTH continue their rapid ascent with the release of their savage new single “CESSPIT,” arriving May 15th ahead of the band’s massive appearance at Till Fest in Germany, where they are set to perform in front of 15,000 people. Formed in 2023 by lifelong friends Adam and Dylan, the Cornish-born trio have quickly become one of the UK underground’s most talked-about new heavy acts, earning support from BBC Radio 1, Metal Hammer, Spotify, Apple Music, and Kerrang! through their explosive fusion of nu-metal chaos, hardcore aggression, and crushing modern heaviness.
Following the momentum of recent releases “GET A GRIP” and “PAIN PUSHER,” COBER MOUTH return with what may be their most vicious and uncompromising track to date. “CESSPIT” descends into themes of resentment, emotional decay, and the toxic cycles people force themselves to endure, delivering an atmosphere soaked in hostility and suffocating tension. Abrasive screams collide with blunt-force riffs and pulverizing breakdowns, while guest vocals from Aron Green push the track even further into violent territory. The result is a track that feels ugly, oppressive, and intentionally confrontational in all the best ways possible.
Speaking on the new single, Adam explains: “CESSPIT drags you face down into the pool of stagnant, parasite infested water that is resentment. Who do we tolerate the intolerable for, and why? Why do we persist with the things we hate for a lifetime?” That sense of frustration and emotional corrosion bleeds through every second of the track, with COBER MOUTH weaponizing chaotic energy and relentless heaviness into a soundtrack for emotional collapse. The band describe the song as “some of our most hostile work to date,” and “CESSPIT” absolutely lives up to that promise.
Already building a reputation as a devastating live act through sold-out headline shows and performances alongside acts like Avralize, Profiler, Heart of a Coward, and Osiah, COBER MOUTH are proving they are far more than another rising heavy band.
