Finnish alternative rock outfit HOKKA step into a bold new chapter with the release of their debut album Via Miseria IV, accompanied by an official music video for the title track “Via Miseria.” The project is led by Joel Hokka, former frontman of Blind Channel, and joined by Pauli Rantasalmi, founding member of The Rasmus—bringing together two distinct creative forces within the Finnish rock scene.
Via Miseria IV presents a cohesive and emotionally charged body of work, blending alternative rock foundations with darker atmospheres and modern production elements. The album moves between introspective, melody-driven passages and more intense, guitar-driven moments, creating a sound that feels both expansive and deeply personal.
The title track “Via Miseria” stands at the center of the release, now brought to life through a music video that mirrors the album’s themes of struggle, transformation, and reflection. The song captures the band’s core identity—balancing haunting melodies with a steady, driving energy that builds toward a powerful emotional release.
With Via Miseria IV, HOKKA establish themselves as a compelling new force in alternative rock, merging experience and reinvention into a sound that feels both fresh and grounded. It’s a debut that carries weight and intent—marking the beginning of a new creative path shaped by evolution, collaboration, and raw expression.
