Italian metal icons LACUNA COIL return with a new double single, “Fragile XX / I Wish You Were Dead (SWARM Remix),” out now via Century Media Records. The release brings two distinct sides of the band together, pairing “Fragile XX” with a reimagined version of “I Wish You Were Dead” by SWARM. Accompanied by a lyric video for “Fragile XX,” the double single gives fans another opportunity to connect with LACUNA COIL’s catalogue while exploring a fresh interpretation of one of their more recent tracks.
Originally featured on Karmacode, released in 2006, “Fragile” returns as “Fragile XX” to mark the album’s 20th anniversary. The track revisits an important period in LACUNA COIL’s career, when the Italian band continued to expand their international reach while developing the distinctive balance of melody, atmosphere, and heaviness that became central to their sound. Two decades later, the song returns with its original emotional core still in focus.
The second half of the release takes a different direction with “I Wish You Were Dead (SWARM Remix).” Reworking a track from LACUNA COIL’s 2025 album Sleepless Empire, SWARM brings a new interpretation to the song while connecting the band’s more recent material with the anniversary celebration. The double single therefore bridges the group’s past and present, pairing a revisit to Karmacode with a contemporary remix. Both tracks are available now through Century Media Records.
