BROKEN BY THE SCREAM Japanese Metalcore Outfit Debuts "Parallel Universe" Video/Single

Following up their 2026 European tour that saw seven of their solo headline shows sell out across nine countries and thirteen performances, Japan's BROKEN BY THE SCREAM continues their rapid ascent with their latest single, "Parallel Universe," out today on Metal Blade Records.

Featuring the band's dynamic four-vocalist lineup of Tsubaki Nanaougi, Shizuku Mikogami, Yayoi Takayashiki, and Io Nozukidaira, the new track sees the group further pushing their unique blend of soaring melodies, vicious screams and punishing metallic aggression.

The band comments, "Just as the truth of heliocentrism once overturned a world where geocentrism was considered common sense, falling in love can completely transform a life that once revolved around oneself. 'What if I had done things differently?' 'What if I had chosen another path?' As we struggle, hesitate, and make choices among countless possibilities, each decision leads us toward a different future. 'Parallel Universe' is a song about love, choice, and the different worlds that may unfold beyond them."

"Parallel Universe" follows the band's first release for Metal Blade Records, "花鏑[HANAKABURA]" [streaming HERE] and arrives after a hugely successful European and UK tour that saw BROKEN BY THE SCREAM perform to predominantly sold-out venues across the continent. The tour culminated in a massive performance at Wacken Open Air, where the band took the Louder Stage - one of the festival's main stages - and delivered their explosive live show to a huge audience.

With their boundary-pushing sound, four-vocalist attack and increasingly powerful live presence, BROKEN BY THE SCREAM are rapidly establishing themselves as one of the most distinctive and exciting acts in modern heavy music. "Parallel Universe" marks the next chapter in that ascent.
