BLVCK ANGLER Turn Rage Into Resistance With “XUYLO”

Ukrainian modern metal band BLVCK ANGLER channel the anger, fear, and devastation of a country at war into “XUYLO,” a new track accompanied by an official music video. Formed in Kharkiv during the war, the band create music shaped by their own experiences and feelings about the consequences of the conflict. Their latest release transforms that reality into a confrontational statement against tyranny, the abuse of power, and the human cost of those who build their authority on suffering.

“XUYLO” is presented as the voice of rage born when silence is no longer possible. Its central message confronts a system in which fear becomes a cult and human lives are reduced to stepping stones toward power. The band’s accompanying statement describes a vision of rotten greatness built on blood, lies, and ruins, turning the song into an expression of contempt for those who maintain control through oppression. Rather than offering an escape from reality, BLVCK ANGLER confront its darkest consequences directly.

The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Cyril Fominov and drummer Max Kazarinov, whose work draws from the experiences and emotions surrounding the war. Their origins in Kharkiv place that perspective at the heart of BLVCK ANGLER’s identity. With “XUYLO,” they give that experience a musical outlet, using modern metal as a vehicle for anger, defiance, and resistance. The official music video accompanies the release, extending the song’s uncompromising message into a visual statement.

The track’s imagery moves between the symbols of oppressive power and the refusal to surrender to it. In the band’s words, resistance exists in every reef, contempt in every scream, and even the strongest thrones will eventually turn to dust. “XUYLO” stands as BLVCK ANGLER’s declaration that tyranny is not eternal, and that the voices it attempts to silence can still rise in defiance.
