SWEPT INTO DECAY Unleash “BODY//GOLD” Ahead Of Debut EP

Ostrava, Czech Republic-based deathcore outfit SWEPT INTO DECAY have unveiled “BODY//GOLD,” the title track from their upcoming debut EP, BODY//GOLD, due September 18, 2026 via Seek & Strike. The new single arrives alongside an official visualizer and gives another taste of a five-track release that represents a significant step forward for the band. Formed in 2022, SWEPT INTO DECAY have spent the past years developing a heavier and more diverse approach, with the new EP described by the band as a reflection of their growth in songwriting, structure and overall musicianship.

“BODY//GOLD” sits at the center of an EP that was created without strict creative limitations, allowing SWEPT INTO DECAY to explore different tempos, atmospheres and approaches across its five tracks. The title itself carries a deeper meaning for the band, referring to an inner struggle and the search for the right path toward peace, while the body is presented as something that can contain an internal treasure. That idea gives the release a personal foundation without forcing the individual songs into one continuous concept.

The upcoming EP also features two guest appearances, with Mattia Maffioli of DEFAMED contributing to “Burning Vexation” and Martin Sinner of EDGE OF ILLUSION appearing on “Ethereal.” The full tracklist consists of “Ethereal,” “BODY//GOLD,” “Hitsugi,” “Burning Vexation” and “Die As One,” with the record running for just under 22 minutes. Mixing and mastering were handled by Simone Pietroforte.

With “BODY//GOLD,” SWEPT INTO DECAY put the title track at the heart of their debut EP and underline the progression that has taken them from an emerging Ostrava band to a growing name within the Czech extreme-metal scene. BODY//GOLD arrives September 18 via Seek & Strike, opening the next chapter for a band determined to keep pushing forward.
