Zwolle, Netherlands-based alternative rock and post-hardcore outfit SILENT TREATMENT return with “Out Of Hope,” their latest single and official music video. The melodic post-hardcore band have built their identity around energetic instrumentation, memorable hooks and vulnerable lyrics dealing with mental wellbeing, reflection and human connection. “Out Of Hope” continues that approach, bringing together the emotional openness of alternative rock with the heavier edge of post-hardcore.
At the centre of SILENT TREATMENT’s music is the contrast between intensity and vulnerability. “Out Of Hope” carries that same emotional character, creating space for its lyrical message while allowing the instrumentation to provide a heavier counterpart. SILENT TREATMENT began as a project between guitarists Maurice and Rogier before expanding into a full band with vocalist Jordan Jade, bassist Jesse Heinhuis and drummer Bernd Holtrop. Their music is written around personal experiences and reflection, with the band aiming to turn difficult subjects surrounding mental wellbeing into songs that encourage connection and the feeling that nobody has to face those struggles completely alone.
